View net worth over time

Prerequisites​

  • At least one active account with a balance
  • The app has captured at least one daily snapshot (unlock the app on a day when accounts have balances)

Steps​

  1. Open Reports in the left navigation.
  2. Select Net worth (or open a saved net-worth report).
  3. Choose a date range preset (or Custom range) to zoom the chart. See Choose a report date range.
  4. Read the line chart — each point is your household total on that snapshot date.
  5. Compare the current net worth figure (live from account balances) with the latest snapshot point.

Snapshots are captured once per calendar day while the app runs or when you unlock. If you added transactions today, the live total updates immediately; the chart line moves after the next daily snapshot.

Expected result​

  • The line chart shows net worth points for each day in the range that has a snapshot
  • The current total matches the sum of active account balances (assets minus liabilities)
  • A month with no snapshots shows a helpful empty state
  • Changing the date range updates the chart without leaving Reports
